Captain Bartholomew “Barry” Stein
Bartholomew is polite and personable and is on a first name basis with a huge number of townsfolk in the lower wards. He was born with a strong sense of justice and a scarcely paralleled love for his homeland. Barry became the youngest ever squire of the Knights of Hiraeth at the age of eleven, sacrificing his remaining boyhood for the burden of the shield. Twenty years later Barry has become the Captain of the Hiraethian Knights as well as its most active and zealous officer. With six hundred and twenty five arrests to his record, Barry has earned some fame and adoration, but remains a humble man. In his years of service Barry has never slain a human, and seldom does he make any use of his sword. As a result of this he is a particularly poor swordsman.
