Mar 2, 2016 - Well, it's Senior year which means the work beast has come again and I must slay it. Wielding my bamboo tablet pen and my wits I must conquer the monster before it eats me alive. For now I'll be moving to one update a week, on Thursdays. Soon things will calm down and I'll get more pages up. If you would like to make a guest comic for the site that would be of great help! Please email me at tess.langston@yahoo.com if you would like to submit a comic or have any questions. Thank you! Sep 2, 2014 - Woo! T-shirts! You can buy them! WOO! Click the link at the top of the page! Feb 27, 2014 - The fan art contest is still accepting submissions! We are still looking for up to four winning submissions to fill the gap between the end of Chapter 6 and the start of Chapter 7 (which arrives March 9th). A quick review: The winners will be featured on the front page of "Anime Asylum" between now and March 9th, complete with a link to a website of the winner's choice. After the front page feature the art will be moved to the Extras section, where it shall remain enshrined (complete with creator credit and link) for all time. If that isn't sufficient motivation, the winners will also get to choose between two fabulous prizes: 1) An original sketch of anything by Tess OR a cameo for the winner or one of their OCs in an upcoming "Anime Asylum" story. Any art that doesn't make the cut will live in the extras section with creator credit and link, but won't get a prize or a front page feature. We really look forward to seeing what you can cook up. So grab your pens, pencils, and assorted digital media and send submissions over to Tess at tess.langston@yahoo.com! Feb 9, 2014 – Due to a clerical error we managed to mess up the whole fan art contest time line! You maybe noticed the story isn't really at a wrap up point with this, the supposed to be last page. Well, that's because it isn't the last page. There are a few more and that means the fan art contest won't start showcasing winners on Thursday. Instead, the last update before the hiatus starts is the 20th of February. The next four updates will feature fan art contest winners as planned, but those days become 2/23, 2/27, 3/2, and 3/6. Other than this slight timing adjustment, the information provided so far is completely accurate. Sorry for any confusion, but on the plus side you've got two more weeks to submit your entries. Jan 30, 2014 - We promised more fan art contest details and now we have them. As previously mentioned, story comics will go on hiatus after February 9th. For the next four update days (13th, 16th, 20th, and the 23rd) we'll be posting the four winning submissions of the fan art contest. In addition to having their art featured on the main page, the winners can also choose between two wonderful prizes. The first option is an original sketch by Tess Langston on a subject of the winners choice (though Tess retains veto power). The second option is a cameo of the winner or one of their original characters in an upcoming "Anime Asylum" story. There are also two additional rules for any submission. Rule 1) Submissions shouldn't feature content beyond a rating of PG-13 (if you want to know what that means, feel free to send Tess an email and ask). Rule 2) HAVE FUN. Surprisingly simple rules. Once more: Send your submissions at tess.langstone@yahoo.com if you are interested. We can't wait to see what you come up with.
